We Never Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, license, or share your personal spending habits, store names, or balances with advertisers, data brokers, or credit reporting agencies. TrackIt is free software funded directly by Kraftarc Technologies as an example of clean, private utility software.
There are no third-party tracking cookies or advertising SDKs embedded in TrackIt. What you record in your app stays strictly between you and the friends you invite to your trip groups.
What Information TrackIt Collects & Why
We keep data collection to the absolute bare minimum needed to run the app reliably:
Your Google Account Login: We receive only your email address and profile name to verify your identity. We never see or store your Google password.
Your Spending Records: Expense dates, store names, totals, and group split entries that you voluntarily enter or scan from your statements.
Local Offline Cache: When you record expenses without an internet connection, your phone saves them locally and syncs them securely when you reconnect.
How Bank Statement Scanning Works
Most finance apps require you to type your online banking username, password, and security answers through third-party aggregators. TrackIt rejects this practice.
You never give TrackIt your bank account password or login credentials. When you upload a statement PDF, the text is read directly in temporary memory on your device to extract transaction amounts and merchant names, and the file is deleted immediately. We never store or archive your original statement files.
Google API User Data Policy Disclosure
TrackIt's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We only request the minimal Google OAuth scope necessary to authenticate your account. We never transfer your Google data to third parties, we never serve ads, and no human at Kraftarc reads your personal financial entries.
Download Your Data & Delete Account
You have full control over your data. You can download all your expenses, notes, and group split records at any time in standard CSV format, or permanently delete your entire account in one click from the app settings.
